An emotional and insightful prologue by Erik Weihenmayer and elegant storytelling from McBride help the reader to slow down and enjoy, while the breathtaking images make you never want to put the book down! In addition to the beauty of his work, McBride is substantive and challenges us to think about so much we take for granted. Forcing us to pay attention to diminishing resources and fading cultures. McBride is always at the vanguard of important subjects, such as water and now silence. I have never thought of silence this way, or craved it so much. This is a beautiful, engaging book!
